Computing Info
-
I use Trisquel GNU/Linux. I
chose that distro for their policy of rejecting nonfree software.
-
I don't use 100% free software at the moment. For example, my
workplace requires nonfree software with no free software
replacements.
-
My laptop's bootloader
is GNU Boot. It
was previously Libreboot, which is now no longer fully free software.
-
I mainly use a text console for convenience, but I will occasionally
use CDE and/or MATÉ. (Why
the accent)
-
Some of my most used programs
are Emacs,
Mutt/Alpine, and of course, TELNET/SSH. I use GNU Emacs for editing
files, such as my web
pages.
-
I have several free software web browsers that I use, typically with
LibreJS if that browser supports JavaScript.
